The winery was founded in 1978 and is best known for creating wines with an uncompromising expression of terroir and distinctive style. The Sierra Foothills vineyard is organically cultivated, with elevations ranging from 1,700 to 2,300 feet.
These balanced and terroir-driven wines are highly concentrated, not over-oaked, unfiltered, and unfined, with balanced alcohol. The grapes for these wines are hand-picked and biodynamically farmed.
In the new century we decided to sacrifice variety and quantity in exchange for focus and improved quality. We selected our finest 45 acres of vineyard sites from our original 350+ and started taking the rest out of production.
